New Fabric-Covered Valance Option
For Alouette
Light Louvers

Shades, Shutters, Blinds - Combined!
Requires Windows Media Player

Alouette Light Louvers were introduced with an integrated headrail that moved along with the lovers. A new option is now available for your customers that would prefer the finished look of a more traditional headrail. The valance is a modified Vignette headrail. The end caps have been molded to accommodate Alouette's pivot pads. The Alouette is secured to the valance with a pin.

The new fabric-covered headrail is available on all three of the Alouette operating systems. It can be used for inside or outside mounted shades, for widths of up to144 inches and heights of up to 96 inches.

When the fabric covered valance is used, it changes the installation method as well. The fabric-covered valance utilizes Vignette installation brackets. Therefore, standard installation is ceiling or back mounting. As with Vignette, the headrail clicks securely into the brackets. End mounting is also available, with additional width deductions required. See the Hunter Douglas Reference Guide for complete details

The fabric on the valance is a woven polyester fabric. And it is always a solid print. The valance fabric coordinates closely with the textured colors of linen and plume.

Light cleaning can be easily achieved with a feather duster. For more intense cleaning, the fabric may be blotted gently with lukewarm water and a mild detergent or non-alcohol baby wipes.

There is a surcharge for the fabric covered valance, based on width of shade. The price grid has been added to the current Hunter Douglas Price and Reference Guide.

New Cord Connector Repair
Another new change for Alouette makes in-field repairs easier. The new slotted segments of the Alouette cord connector shown below allow you to retain current k nots when replacing the connector instead of trying to accurately tie a new knot. After the knots are attached to each segment, the cord connector snaps together quickly, needing no additional adjustment.
