Modern
Roman Shades
Formerly categorized as "window shadings", the Vignette product line is now referred to as
Modern Roman Shades which better defines and describe the product as a better way to do Roman shades.
Along with the new category, some great new fabrics, features and options have
been added to give the product a new depth and a new approach that takes advantage of the increasing popularity of Roman shades while putting the focus on the advantages Vignette Shades offer over custom Roman shades.
Compare Vignette To Regular Roman Shades
|

|
| One
feature that truly sets Vignette apart from the custom Roman shade is the fact that no fabric stack to obstruct the outside view.
This stacks up as a big advantage over regular Roman shades which block as much as a third of the window when raised.
Each Vignette shade lifts easily with either the standard EasyRise system or the new UltraGlide™
retractable cord. And each shade virtually disappears into its own headrail when raised.
Within the headrail the shade is protected from dust and the
surrounding environment. As the shade is lowered, each fold is
"fluffed" to always provide a fresh appearance. |
|
|

|
| From the
outside, the smooth neutral back is another important distinction – with no cords, strings, grommets or sticks visible to the outside when the shade is lowered. |
New Fabrics Features
And Options
|

|
New Vignette Tailored
A new six-Inch flat fold fabric called Vignette Tailored is now available. This provides a similar appearance to six inch folds on regular roman shades with all the advantages of Vignette. Vignette Tailored Shades offer a crisp, contemporary look in the window. The 6” flat fold complements the bold architectural details seen more and more in home interiors today.
So now there are now two unique fold styles and three fold sizes. - The new 6-inch Vignette Tailored and Vignette Traditional, the 3-inch and 4-inch contoured folds that have been available all along.
For each, the standard matching fabric-covered headrail and bottom rail creates a unified look from top to bottom. |
| To keep it simple, Vignette Tailored shades are priced the same as Vignette Traditional. The available fabrics and the specifications can be found in the Vignette section of the 2006 Hunter Douglas Full-Line Reference Guide. |

New Vignette with
UltraGlide™.
Just like the UltraGlide operating system used on Silhouette window
shadings, Vignette with UltraGlide is a single retractable pull cord.
The cord always retracts to a constant length after raising or lowering the shade. The Ultraglide option enhances child safety and allows shades to be installed without attaching a looped cord to the wall. |
