Keeping A
Low Profile

Here's A New Low-Profile Version Of Silhouette That Will Raise Your Profile With A Perfect Solution For Sidelight Windows Or French Doors.

Available June 1, 2006

The new Low-Profile Tilt-Only application is another great enhancement to the Silhouette product line. The low-profile tilt only application uses a screw/pivot tension system. It tilts using by hand and holds its position with tension created by a screw in the side of the headrail. This screw can be adjusted easily and logically by tightened by turning it clockwise to increase tension and counterclockwise to decrease tension.

There are two ways to operate low-profile tilt only shadings. Either use the end cap tabs to rotate headrails that are within reach, or by using a wand. The optional clear wand is included in all orders, but does not have to be used on shadings within reach. The wand can be affixed to the small tab on either side of the headrail for easy reach for tall door or window applications.

The low-profile tilt only application is available in all two-inch and three-inch fabrics. It is not offered in the new Quartette four-inch vane size at this time. The fabric covered headrail and coordinating bottom rail are standard for this application.

With a minimum width of only six inches, this will fit and operate in even the narrowest sidelight window. With a maximum width of thirty inches, it's a great application for French doors and atrium doors. The profile of this shading when closed is very low, allowing doors to operate without the interference that the headrails of most products can cause. Low profile tilt-only shadings are available in heights up to ninety-six inches.

Standard Headrail Cord Operated Tilt Only
For many years, Silhouette has featured a cord operated Tilt-Only application on the standard headrail. This system is still available in an expanded size range. Previously, this type of shading was only available for shadings under 12" in width. Now it may also be used for widths up to 30" and, depending on the fabric selected, for heights up to 120". On this system, the vanes tilt open and close with cord loop and the shading is installed using a standard Silhouette headrail.
