Increased Panel Width Means Palm Beach Shutters Can Go New Places! 

Panel Widths Up To 30 Inches
The maximum panel width for a single standard shutter panel in Palm Beach Shutters by Designer Blinds has been increased to 30".  Previously, the maximum width was 28".  

Extensive testing has demonstrated that current panels made to the new maximum width will perform as well as smaller panels and will require no additional reinforcement.

When Panels of over 30" are needed, Designer Blinds recommends Hunter Douglas Heritance Hardwood Shutters which can be made in panels up to 36 inches wide.

Of course, changing this specification, affects additional panel configurations.  While it only changes the panel width by two inches, when you extrapolate that out to wider windows with multiple panels it makes a significant difference. 

Here are some examples of panel configurations that now have new specifications:

P1-L

New maximum width: 30"

Previous maximum: 28"

P2-LR

New maximum width: 60"

Previous maximum: 56"

P2-LTR

New maximum width: 60"

Previous maximum: 56"

P3-LTRTR 

New maximum width: 90"

Previous maximum: 84"

P4-LTLRTR 

New maximum width: 120"

Previous maximum: 112"

P6-LRTLRTR 

New maximum width: 180"

Previous maximum: 168"

Standards For Bifold Panels and Double-Hung Panels  Remain Unchanged 

The maximum size standards for bifolded panels and for double-hung panels remain unchanged.  

Maximum width for double-hung and inverted frame panels: 24"

Maximum width for Bifolded panels: 48"
