A Side Show With Duette
®!

Among other new products in honeycomb shades released this spring, there is a great new way to treat sidelight windows that provides privacy and easy control. The new Cordless Operable Sidelight system installs easily.  It's a great new way to do something a little extra on the side.

Choose Your Operating Option
This system is the perfect solution for those hard-to-cover narrow windows where cords are either an aesthetic or a safety issue. Note that these new cordless operable sidelights are available for both Duette and Applause® honeycomb shades. These are the three configurations from which to choose:

Standard Bottom-Up

Top-Down Only

Top-Down/Bottom-Up

Choose the method of operation that is best-suited for your customer's needs. While there is a small surcharge for Cordless Operating Sidelight, the price is the same whether you choose Standard bottom-up,Top-down or Top-down/bottom-up.

Minimum width for each option in Cordless Operable Sidelights is a mere six inches. The maximum width is 11 7/8”. Maximum height is 84”

The new cordless operable sidelights are available for honeycomb shades in all pleat sizes except for Majestic 1¼” fabrics.

Installation is Easy and Quick
Since the cordless operable sidelight functions by tension, it is important that the shade it mounted correctly. Four mounting brackets are needed to secure the shade.  Usually, these are simply the standard Duette installation bracket. All alternative bracketing options may also be used (swivel brackets, spacer blocks and projection brackets).

For each shade, two brackets are installed at the top of the window opening and another pair is installed at the bottom.  This must be done for each of the operating methods on the top and 2 on the bottom.

Once the shade is snapped into all four brackets and the tab screws are tightened, adjustments may be made, if necessary, by simply tightening or loosening the positioning cord using the standard Duette pocket and ferrule adjustment techniques.  Once all adjustments have been made, excess cord should be trimmed.
