What's This?

The Winds of Change

New Crosswinds™ Real Wood Vertical Blinds gives you the opportunity to provide complementary design by cross merchandising with Country Woods® Wood Blinds.

Combining Vertical Blinds With Horizontal Blinds

The new Crosswinds Collection was designed to solve the challenges represented when you have a vertically-oriented window opening in the same room as standard rectangular window. This photograph above shows how well the Crosswinds collection coordinates with Country Woods Classics™ horizontal wood blinds.

Crosswinds vanes are 3.5” wide with a 1/8” thickness. They are 100% basswood with finger-jointed construction for strength and durability.

Consistent color and appearance have been achieved by utilizing a multiple-step finishing process to enhance the beautiful wood grain patterns. This is the same type of finish that you would find on high-end furniture collections.

In addition, Crosswinds features the patented TopShield™ Finish, a Hunter Douglas exclusive which is also featured on Country Wood wood blinds. TopShield provides the ultimate protection for your wood blind investment. This clear top coat, applied to every vane and valance is

  • Over five times more durable than the standard wood blind finish.
  • Harder and more resistant to scratches.

  • Smooth and easy to clean, while allowing the natural beauty of the wood to shine through.

The colors you'll find in Crosswinds Genuine Wood Vertical Blinds are coordinated with the ten most popular colors in the Country Woods Classics program. The four painted colors are Vivid White, Bright White, Eggshell and Linen. The six stains are Sugar Maple, Golden Oak, Cottage Pine, Warm Cherry, Pecan and Red Mahogany

4½" Crestover Valance Included

The Crosswinds wood vertical blind is topped with a new 4 ½” decorative valance. The Crestover valance is color-matched to the vanes and coordinates with the Country Woods Grandover™ valance.  The Crestover valance utilizes the standard vertical blind dust cover for easy mounting and can be used with the Country Wood horizontal wood blinds for a completely coordinated look.

Color-Coordinated Hardware.

For a finished appearance, each Crosswinds blind comes with An ivory or bronze PermAlign™ Headrail.  Other coordinated items include: 3 colors of cord – Natural, Oak Wood or Cocoa, An Ivory or Bronze tensioner, Nickel or Bronze chain and genuine wood tassels, color-matched to the vanes and valance.

The PermAlign® headrail system with a gear reduced 3:1 end control is always used for Crosswinds.  The PermAlign system features PosiTilt™ carriers to keep vanes synchronized and stainless steel spacing links – assure smooth and easy operation.  A rotation only motorized system is also available.  Note: For Crosswinds, the Paramount™ or PermaTrak™ Headrail systems can not be substituted for the PermAlign Headrail System.

Complements is an innovative way to combine two wood blind programs together. With this new collection you will be able to easily choose horizontal or vertical blinds from a single lightweight sample book.  Pairing wood vertical blinds with wood horizontal blinds creates a seamless flow of color and style throughout the room, making Complements an alternate solution for rooms with a combination of windows and doors.  The Complements program offers beauty and functionality by combining the warmth and richness of genuine hardwood for a variety of window applications.

With the Complements program, you can choose from ten popular Country Woods Classics wood stains and finishes to bring a coordinated feeling to the same room.
