New Valance For Track Systems And Other New Options For Summerwind Shutters By Designer Blinds

New Valance For Bypass & Bifold Track Systems
Bifold and Bypass track systems are becoming increasingly popular for customers that are looking for something a little bit different and upscale for patio doors and this new Valance a way to make Summerwind Bifold and Bypass Track shutters look even better.

This new valance has been designed to be used on either the By-Pass or Bi-Fold Track System and can be used with or without returns. It will help to eliminate light gaps as well as hide the track and hardware. The valance was created to be long enough to hang down over the top of the panels on By-Pass units to cover the hardware since the panels do not swing open.

The 5” Valance eliminates the need to use 2 ½” or 3 ½” louvers for this purpose. Velcro is the recommended method for attaching the valance to the frame. By using Velcro, adjustments are made easily without damaging the valance.

New Extensions For Bypass & Bifold Track System Frames
These ¾" extensions will make Bifold and Bypass Track System shutters make installation around trim easier by serving as an easily attached build-out.  Multiple extensions may be used when further projection is needed.

New Extension For Casing Frame
Now you're not limited to using plain old L-Frame when you want to mount shutters outside the trim. Our most popular  outside mount frame, the Casing Frame with its colonial appearance, is now available with an easy to install ¾" extension that allows you to keep your window trim, have a great looking frame and fully operational shutters.
New Mounting Strip Options

Three new mounting strip options have been added for inside mount Summerwind Shutters. These three new sizes provide versatility for the installer. Now that four sizes are available, there is no longer a need to rip down the original ¾” x ¾” mounting strip. These mounting strips also double as light block.  For example, some bathroom and kitchen windows include a tile sill that wraps up the sides of the opening thus creating a light gap along the sides where the tile stops. The ¼” mounting strip may be used simply to block light between the outside of the frame and the inside of the opening. The larger 1” x ¾” mounting strip may be used as an additional hang strip for mounting the shutter or light block as needed.
