Light Louvers™

New,
Stronger Connection!
An improved bar attachment for both Alouette bar systems, BTS and
BCS is now being used. This new design features a key and slot type engagement to ensure a
stronger and more reliable connection than the previous flexible
spring attachment. Please note, the new bar attachment cannot
be retrofitted to Alouette Light Louvers using the previous
system.
This enhancement was implemented on January 5, 2005.
To ensure installers are aware of the change, a Bar
Attachment Instruction Addendum will be included with the Installation and Care Guide. Additionally, there will be a hangtag
(right) attached to the bars of the BCS and BTS units, informing the
installer of the change.

BASIC PROCEDURE:
Fit “Key”Into“Keyhole”
The tilt bar connector has a key-like profile and the end cap on the headrail
has a similarly shaped hole. The tilt bar can only be inserted and removed
from the headrail when the orientation of the “key” and “keyhole” match.
Hold the tilt bar at approximately a 20 degree angle to the end cap to fit the
connector into the hole, as illustrated below.
