Be Aware of Alouette®!

Here's Something to Think About...
Because Alouette has only been on the market for only a few months, most window covering dealers do not even carry this product yet.  Consumers, for the most part are widely unaware of them.. This means that by featuring it prominently, you'll attract customers with a product that many of your competitors can't provide.  When a product is young, like Alouette is now, your profit opportunities are at their highest. Many dealers —even dealers that have the Alouette sampling, take a while to warm up to a new product. If you're one of those dealers, this Spring is the perfect time to shed a little light on selling Alouette. National advertising by Hunter Douglas is just getting started, so join in and spread the word about Alouette.

Not Like Anything Else
The big thing to keep in mind is that Alouette Light Louvers are an entirely new concept in window fashions. While they're not exactly “like” anything else, you can relate features of Alouette to other window coverings by explaining that Alouette combines the best elements of shutters, shades and blinds. You can then compare and contrast with each of those products.

Like Shutters... Alouette Light Louvers make a bold architectural statement with their wide louvers. But unlike shutters, there is no heavy framing to partially block the view and incoming light.

Like Shades... Alouette Light Louvers are soft, durable and convenient to operate. But unlike shades, the Alouette product offers variable light control.

Like Blinds..., Alouette Light Louvers control light and provide privacy. But unlike blinds, the Alouette louvers soften and filter exterior light.

Unlike ANY Other Window Covering... the Pivotal Operating System provides fully integrated form and function with its pivoting, elliptical headrail and bottom rail.

Display
Of course. the best way to sell is by showing. Designer Blinds is currently offering some outstanding special offers for Alouette Display units.  Talk with your Designer Blinds Sales Representative about taking advantage of this special opportunity.

Video Makes A Great Display
When you can't display, the best way to show the product in real environments is by showing the DVD video that came with your Alouette sample kit.  The video can easily be set up to run in a repeating loop in your showroom, too.  After running the video, the sample book is great for picking out colors and the hand sample can give your customers a feel for Alouette.  Keep in mind that this is your customer's first look at this product, make sure they understand that the hand sample frame is not part of the product that they will be receiving.  I have heard from a number of dealers that have said many consumers mistakenly think that the frame is part of the product, which can turn them against it. For this reason, you should be sure you are not using your hand sample as a floor display, especially if you are not always available to explain it.
