Look Closely and You'll See There Are
No Other Alternatives!

EverWood™ & Woodmates™, The Hunter Douglas
Alternative Wood Blinds Are Clearly Superior
To Products That Claim To Be Just As Good.

Here's The Evidence From Independent Testing.

All "Fauxs" Are NOT Created Equal

I'm sure you've noticed that Alternative Wood or Faux Wood blinds are the hot commodity product in window coverings these days.  Whenever a product becomes a hot seller, there are companies, new and old that jump into the market with low priced versions. It isn't uncommon in alternative wood blinds to hear the claim that a particular product is just as good as Hunter Douglas or even that it uses the same components as Hunter Douglas.  Don't buy into such claims.  Only products carrying the Hunter Douglas brand use the clearly superior materials you'll find in EverWood and WoodMates blinds.

Do Yourself A Favor. Plant The Seeds For Your Future.
Remember that today's alternative wood customer is the Silhouette Customer of the future.  Take care of them with quality alternative wood blinds so they'll want to work with you again when they move up to higher end products.

The Heat Is On!
When comparing to other alternative woods, though, the proprietary composite materials used in Hunter Douglas blinds resists heat and moisture far better than the competitors.  In testing, Hunter Douglas alternative wood blinds withstood temperatures over 160° Fahrenheit.  No other alternative blind even came close and some failed at temperatures that are easy to find in a window on a hot day. Here is a look at the test results:

Here's what the heat can do.  This competitor's blind was hung in a midwest home for just four months.

You don't really have to look close to see that heat caused the slats to warp.
Hunter Douglas Alternative Wood Blinds are guaranteed to never warp, crack, peel or fade —even in hot humid areas.

Find Yourself In The Thick Of It...
Then Space It Off

The slats used on Hunter Douglas Alternative Wood Blinds significantly thicker than the slats used on competing brands.  The thickness of the slats allows for wider tape spacing— fewer tapes or ladders for a more open view and a better finished look.

On a 48" x 60" window, a Hunter Douglas Alternative Wood blind would have three tapes as illustrated at left.  Most competitors would require at least four tapes for the same size blind as Illustrated at right

Let The Sun Shine!
For most faux wood products, the sun can cause fading.  The chart at right shows the actual amount of color change or  "yellowing" that occurs after just 1000 hours of exposure to the sun.

Check it for yourself. Take a look at competitor's faux wood blinds that have been hanging in windows for just a year or two.  Move the tape or ladder a bit to see how much the color has changed.  Then compare them to Hunter Douglas blinds that have been hanging for a similar amount of time.

Add It All Up And You'll See There
Are No Other Alternatives

Combine the test results above with the fact that Hunter Douglas alternative wood blinds combine fewer problems with more colors, more style options, more tapes, more valances and make it more likely that you'll get referral and repeat business.
