Cleaning Up With

Whether you're selling the newest product on the market, or an old standby it's always important to be able to tell your customers how to take care of their new window fashions. You can present these care and cleaning techniques when you sell Alouette Light Louvers because all the testing was done before the product was ever released.  And even though it's a new product, the materials are of the same anti-static, dust resistant fabric as is used in making Duette® honeycomb shades, so the cleaning techniques are tried and true.

Routine Cleaning

Regular dusting with a feather duster
is all that's needed in most cases.  Lifting and lowering the louvers occasionally will also repel most surface dust.

For a more thorough cleaning, a low suction
hand held vacuum can do a great job.

Dust and debris can be easily blown away
with clean "canned air".

For stains —even ketchup or soda, spot clean by gently blotting with a clean, non-alcohol baby wipe. Allow the window covering to dry in the completely lowered position.  Remember, to always use non-alcohol baby wipes and make sure they don't have lotion, aloe vera or vitamin E either—just a pure baby wipe.
For deep cleaning, the injection/extraction method, often used for Luminette® Privacy Sheers or Draperies works well with Alouette Light Louvers.  Because neither the top rail nor the bottom rail should be immersed, ultrasonic cleaning is not recommended

Alouette Light Louvers are very durable and have a "bounce-back" feature when the louvers are bent or maneuvered. The louver has memory and will return to its original positioning.
