A New Spin On Swivel Brackets

With the changes made recently to the Duette® honeycomb shade hardware system, some modifications have been made to the optional swivel bracket which can be used for inside mount applications.  No changes have been made to the standard Duette installation bracket.

More About Using Swivel Brackets

A Longer Handle
Designer Blinds is now using a new version of the swivel bracket for Duette Shades etc. that has been redesigned to work with the new headrail system.  The main difference is that the handle of the bracket is about 3/16” longer on the new version, allowing it to fully set against the new headrail.  This picture shows the 3/8" swivel bracket.  The 3/4" swivel bracket is similarly longer.

Designed For The New Hardware System
Here are views of the new brackets fully seated when closed against the headrail for each the 3/8” and 3/4” versions.  Notice that it closes tightly against the front of the rail and is fully engaged to securely hold the headrail in place.

New Swivel Brackets Work
With Applause™ Rail

As seen here, the new version can be used with new headrail and with Applause rail (old-style Duette)  It closes at a slight angle to the rail, but is fully engaged and will hold the shade securely. This rail is also used for Brilliance pleated shades and swivel brackets can be specified for pleated shades, too.

These new swivel brackets are being supplied by Designer Blinds whenever swivel brackets are specified for Duette, Applause or Brilliance shades.

Old Swivel Brackets Do NOT Work
With New Rail System

This picture shows that the old swivel bracket does NOT work with new rail.  The plates of the bracket cannot get fully underneath the rail grooves.  It cannot be trusted for long term use.

This older version of the swivel bracket is no longer available from Designer Blinds.  You may use any that you currently have on hand to install Applause honeycomb shades or Brilliance pleated shades only.
