Ensure the most accurate and professional installation of
Luminette Privacy Sheers every time by keeping these steps in mind:
 |
With outside mounts, allow 1/2’ floor clearance. Add 1/4” to the ordered height and position the top of the fabric that
distance from the floor. (The top of the fabric will be even with the tops of the spacer blocks, or 3/8” under the extension brackets.) |
 |
Be sure inside mounts clear obstructions. Position the mounting brackets so that nothing impedes traversing or vane rotation. Replace window cranks with T-cranks. |
| Be sure the SofTrak™ rod is mounted
on the level. Use the new Luminette shim to compensate
for places where the surface is uneven. |
| Position the SofTrak rod correctly. With split stack designs, simply center the rod in or over the window opening. With side stack designs, remember that the required clearance is 1/4” on the active end (stacking side) and 3/4’ on the passive end. Thus, the rod should be offset from the center 1/4” toward the stacking side. |
| Straighten the end treatments. Reposition the swivel plates, if necessary. Raise the swivel plate to move the bottom of the end treatment in, or lower it to move the bottom out. |
| “Dress” the installation. Steam the sheer from the backside of the fabric. Steam from the top down, moving the steamer head in short vertical
strokes. |
