Transform The Sheer Beauty of Luminette® Privacy Sheers® into

SHEER POWER!

Now Luminette is available with an exciting new motorization system that performs both tilting and traversing functions.  It's smooth and easy new Luminette with PowerGlide™.

In some ways, PowerGlide will seem instantly familiar because it is fully compatible with the popular PowerRise™ option available on Duette® honeycomb shades, Brilliance™ pleated shades and Silhouette® window shadings.  PowerGlide incorporates much of the technology and many of the same components, but there are some differences in options and in the way it functions.

Here's How Luminette Sheers With PowerGlide Work
Each Luminette sheer with PowerGlide actually has two motors, one tilts the vanes for privacy control when the sheer is drawn across the window.  The other motor traverses the vanes, drawing them across the window or stacking them for an open view.  The remote control transmitter looks much like the controller used for PowerRise with the word "Tilt" added under channel one and "Traverse" under channel two.  Each unit uses both channels.

This remote control is fully compatible with PowerRise controls.  So if you are also adding Silhouette shadings with PowerRise in the same room, only one remote control will be needed. Use the Counterparts information in the Luminette sample book to help coordinate colors between the two products.  You'll get a great match for both the shades and the motorization systems.

As with standard Luminette, the sheers should not be traversed while the vanes are tilted closed.  PowerGlide makes this goof-proof.  It will recognize this situation and automatically tilt the vanes to the open position before stacking the sheer - in this case both functions are triggered with just a single touch.

No Complicated Choices!
One of the big ways that Luminette with PowerGlide is different than PowerRise shades is that there are fewer decisions to make.  PowerGlide is NOT a battery powered motorization system.  The power source is always a transformer that plugs into a wall outlet. So there is no need to choose between battery wands or satellite battery packs — they are not available with PowerGlide.

Because the sheers would block it, a built-in eye would not be able to receive a signal from the remote control.  For this reason a Satellite Eye is always used for Luminette with PowerGlide.

Center opening sheers are priced the same as sheers with left or right operation. Two motors are always used.

Basic Specifications Are Easy, Too!
Luminette with PowerGlide is available with ALL Luminette fabrics, including Evening Star®. Maximum width is 144 inches and maximum height is 120 inches (EXCEPT Maximum height with the Filigree fabric is 102").

Update Existing Manually Operated Sheers
Do you have customers that have been waiting for a motorization system for Luminette?  Here's some great news!  Existing manually operated Luminette sheers may be upgraded to PowerGlide.  Better still --the upgrade process can be done quite easily in the home.  The existing manual headrail must be replaced.  The cost of an upgrade is equal to the standard retail surcharge, plus the replacement cost of the headrail. (See updated pages in Hunter Douglas Reference & Price Guide)  You may want to consider doing a mailing to all of your Luminette customers to let them know about this great new option.
