There May Be Other Sheers And Other Vertical Applications And Even Combinations Of Both

— But There Isn't ANYTHING Else
like Luminette
® Privacy Sheers®

PLUS New Ultrasonic Cleaning Guidelines For Luminette

There are a number of other products that try to imitate the look and feel of Luminette Privacy Sheers by inserting vertical blind vanes into a traditional sheer or, basically wrapping a traditional sheer around a vertical blind.  From a distance, they seem to have a similar appearance.  While Luminette also combines the benefits of vertical sheers, they do it in a much different way that makes them clearly superior.  Here are some of the more noticeable advantages you'll find with Luminette

No Pockets Or Inserted Slats
With Luminette Privacy Sheers, the vanes and the sheer are all one piece.  Luminette is a completely engineered product with it's own unique hardware system and completely integrated design.  There are no vinyl vanes that need to be inserted into delicate fabrics; no snaps or retainers of any type to hold heavy vinyl vanes in place.  This creates the most open view and a far more attractive appearance than any vertical/sheer combination.

Quick And Easy Installation
Any Luminette sheer is one unified product doing exactly what it is designed to do, rather than a combination of unrelated products being taken beyond their design. Luminette is consistently easy to install. It's always the same, rather than using your choice of vertical blinds to combine with a sheer.  All you need to do is make sure your hands are clean! Since there are no vanes to insert into pockets, there is no need to worry about tearing or running the fabric.  A Luminette Privacy Sheer can typically be installed in just minutes.  You'll stand back from it, amazed at what you've accomplished in such a short time!

Better Looking: Top To Bottom

Luminette sheers have a built-in top treatment that provides a finished look and tailored appearance and conceals the hardware system.

At the bottom you'll find a clean and unfrayed
look without the large unsightly weighted hems
you'll find on traditional sheers.  It looks great!

Kind of Fond of The Wand!
The combined wand and tethered cord was first introduced with Luminette Privacy Sheers.  The wand is rotated to tilt the vanes.  The tethered cord is pulled to draw the sheer open or closed.  When not in use, the entire wand and cord are tucked slightly behind the Luminette and hidden from view.

This combined wand and cord is used for all Luminette Privacy Sheers.

Luminette® Privacy Sheers

Since the introduction of Luminette, we have recommended the injection/extraction cleaning method for deep cleaning Luminette sheers. Now, after several months of extensive testing, ultrasonic cleaning has also been approved. Since all ultrasonic cleaners do not have the same equipment and/or processes, we have developed the following questions that your customers should ask the ultrasonic cleaner before contracting with them for service.

Do you have experience ultrasonically cleaning Luminette Privacy Sheers?

Cleaners with experience will likely have the proper equipment and product knowledge. The ultrasonic cleaning process requires removing the sheers from the home and transporting them back to the cleaning facility. Luminette sheers should be rolled on a tube for transport to minimize wrinkling and damage.

Do you have a tank long enough to accommodate the length of my sheer?
(This is the most important question to ask!)

The tank must be at least as long as the height of the Luminette sheer to allow for cleaning without folding and wrinkling the vanes.

Do you pre-treat stains?

Heavy stains should be gently pre-treated, taking care not to rub and abrade the vane or face fabrics.

How will you dry my Luminette sheers?

Immediately after cleaning, sheers should be hung vertically with the vanes in the open position and loops evenly spaced and formed. Sheers should be allowed to drip-dry. When dry, sheers should be rolled on a tube for transport back to the home.

The cleaner should hang and dry the sheers immediately after cleaning. Under no circumstances should sheers be allowed to remain submersed or wet for any extended period of time.

How will wrinkles be removed?

After cleaning and re-hanging in the home, any wrinkles should be gently steamed out.
