Provenance™ Woven Wood Shades Are A Big Hit With Consumers —Naturally!

Here are a some things you and your customer need to know about Provenance Shades

Hunter Douglas Provenance™ woven wood shades are made from the finest natural products available. Materials include select woods, reeds, grasses and bamboo. Like all natural materials, these contain minor variations in color and hue and slight differences in grain and texture. Some patterns may contain knots and slight surface cracks.

Fabrics with bamboo slats may appear to have a somewhat greenish tone at the time of installation, the bamboo will slowly age to a beige/brown hue. Expect paint and yarn color variations to be present in all woven wood fabrics.

To ensure the best color match, shades mounted in the same room should be ordered at the same time. Slight variations are still likely to occur, even within the same order, particularly on bamboo materials.

Due to the natural materials and the loose weaves, perfect alignment of the slats is not always be possible. Additionally, the natural fabrics used in Provenance™ woven wood shades may have a slight bow or camber and should not be expected to be perfectly straight.

Due to the weight of woven wood materials, there is a tendency for these shades to stretch slightly over time and they may eventually touch the window when inside mounted.

Provenance™ shades are built from the bottom up. Fold alignment may vary slightly even on shades of the same height. The bottom fabric panel is always six inches in height. The panels above have cord rings spaced ten inches apart which forms five-inch folds when the shade is lifted.
