Do The Twist!

Here's A Little Installation "Twist" That Will Keep Luminette Vanes Aligned and Perfectly In Sync
The almost self-correcting vanes of Luminette Privacy Sheers® are easy to align at installation —and any time after. This feature keeps Luminette Sheers looking and performing at their best.

The Problem

All of the vanes are attached correctly to the carriers on the track, but one or more vane is out of alignment, blocking the sheer view.  The almost self-correcting vanes of Luminette make this easy to fix in just two easy steps.

Step 1 - Over-Rotate the Louvers in Clockwise Rotation

By over rotating the louvers in this direction all of the vanes that are out of sync and leaning to the right will snap into correct alignment.

You will hear them click into place.

Step 2 - Over-Rotate the Louvers in a Counter-Clockwise Rotation

By over rotating the louvers in this direction all of the vanes that are out of sync and leaning to the left will snap into correct alignment.

You will hear them click into place.

Voilla! The Vanes Are Aligned!

By over-rotating in each direction you can be sure that ALL of the vanes will get into perfect alignment.

What Makes The Vanes Go Out of Alignment?
It isn't uncommon for this problem to appear upon the original installation of a Luminette Privacy Sheer.  The carriers are fairly well-protected, but can still be jostled in shipping. Generally, though, it's the process of unpacking and installing the track that can lead to knocking one or more carrier out-of-sync.  Attaching the vanes to the track can also lead to this sort of misalignment.  In any of these cases, it won't be noticed until after the vanes are attached.

It's fairly rare for this to happen after the sheers are installed and working.  But your customers should be informed of this quick and easy solution in case it does.

To prevent vanes from going out of alignment, be sure your customers know to always have the vanes in the fully open position before pulling the cord to stack them.  Having vanes in a closed, or partially closed position could knock them out of sync and could lead to damage that would be much more difficult and more costly to repair.
