Completely Open In Seconds.

Plus: Vertiglide Installation Update

Since it was introduced more than a decade ago, Duette® Vertiglide has been one of the nicest things to come across windows or doors.  Using 3/4" ir 1¼" Hunter Douglas honeycomb fabrics in a vertical orientation, Vertiglide shades provide a pleasant alternative to Vertical Blinds on patio doors, French doors or even as a room divider —always coordinating perfectly with other honeycomb shades in the room.  Vertiglide shades can stack to the right, to the center or open from the center.  Available in expanses up to 14 feet wide, Vertiglide always stacks back to a mere 6 inches leaving the most open view possible.

Double The Fun with Vertiglide DuoLite
Vertiglide DuoLite takes it a step further.  In this format, the Vertiglide is built similarly to a center opening Vertiglide.  The difference is that each side of the shade uses a different fabric.  In the example here a semi-opaque fabric is used on the left and a black sheer fabric on the right.  Each fabric can span the entire width of the opening or be held in any position in between.  To completely open the window, simply separate the center rails and stack each fabric to the right and left sides, again stacking in just 6" per side.

In this view, the semi-opaque fabric is drawn across the window to provide privacy

The rails are moved along the track with a light touch and can be stopped in any position.

Here, the sheer fabric is drawn across the window to provide a gentle filtered light and still block out harmful UV rays.

Vertiglide Installation Update

NOTE: Information below applies only to Vertiglide Shades manufactured BEFORE September 2004.  For complete current installation details including video go to Tip # 227 for Outside Mount or Tip # 228 for Inside Mount

If you've been installing Vertiglide shades for years and haven't needed to look at the installation instructions lately, there are a couple of things you should know about, additional adjustment to straighten moving rails and a clip that allows installing of the stationary rail to the side wall for inside mounts —instead of being limited by the previous options of installing to the floor or back wall.

Moving Rail Adjustment

As always if it is necessary to adjust the angle of the moving rail, this is done by using a flat screwdriver to adjust the screw on the Moving Rail Bracket. Tighten or loosen the screw to straighten the rail or to align it with the jamb.

·   Tightening the screw (turning clockwise) adjusts the moving rail away from the fabric.

·   Loosening the screw (turning counterclockwise) adjusts the moving rail towards the fabric.

NEW:
IF FURTHER ADJUSTMENT IS NEEDED to adjust the rail, the moving rail bracket needs to be removed and the rear bracket bearing moved to the #2 hole. After the rear bearing is moved to the #2 hole, reinstall the moving rail and continue from there.  This is not something you should have to do often.  The original position of the bearing should allow for full adjustment for most Vertiglide shades.

NEW!
Inside Mount Adaptor

For Stationary Rail Bottom Brackets

The Stationary Bottom Rail Bracket shown at left allows the stationary vertical rail(s) of Vertiglide to be stabilized by running a screw either to the floor, or to the wall behind the Vertiglide.

The Inside Mount Adaptor is used for Inside Mounts to allow the option of running the screw to the casement or the wall at the side of the Vertiglide.  The adaptor is attached to the back of the bracket.  It blocks the ability to attach to the back, but still allows for attachment to the floor.
